Following on from the Analyse stage it was now time to improve the problematic areas that would improve the cleaning cycle of the Xpress 700.
Problems
As identified
in the Analyse Stage non-availability of equipment was a major issue.
1 :
Tools required for disassembly of Xpress 700 are hard to locate .
2 : Purified water vessels and dedicated
Ethanol/70%I.P.A. vessels in short supply also.
TOOLS.
A project is under way to provide each room with a Shadow board system containing all tools needed for that particular
room.
Ethanol /
70%I.P.A.
P.R 01 EX Room is to be fitted with an “On
Tap “ system for the dispensing of these items. Users will dispense straight to
Spray Bottles currently in use and new Identification Label holders are in
place for correct labelling of these containers.
Smart clean diagram
During Brainstorming
sessions and as a result of solutions proposed a “Smart Clean Plan“was drawn
up. The plan involves a logical, standard way to
approach the clean using marked out areas for “ To be cleaned parts “ and
purpose designed trollies for “Clean Parts”
During brainstorming sessions a review of S.O.Ps has been identified as an important step in making the cleaning cycle work more effectively. A more logical step by step approach will promote a smarter way to clean. A more detailed look at the changes to the S.O.P will be discussed in the full report.
